Mike was hands down the best inspector we could have asked for. He was patient and took the time to explain all findings in terms I could truly understand. He was straight forward and realistic with all findings. If I were to purchase a home again in the future, I would absolutely contact Mike.
Updated to add: 7 years later, we sold our home and built a new house. We hired Mike again and it proved to be the best choice! We will be using him again at our 11-month inspection. He’s thorough and provides an exceptional service.

Last year, our son hired Mike to inspect a house he intended to buy. Mike spent 45 minutes inspecting the exterior of the home. At that point, he communicated to our son and us that the foundation had serious and expensive issues that would be difficult to resolve. Additionally, the roof required extensive repair.
Mike expressed to our son that if these issues deterred him from wanting to move forward on purchasing this house, Mike would conclude the inspection and return the inspection fee to our son. If he still wanted the house, Mike would proceed to inspect the home’s interior. (Note: Many inspectors would have completed the entire inspection to justify collecting their fee even though they would know from the outset it was likely the buyer would walk away from the purchase. Mike’s integrity greatly impressed us!)
Our son decided to forego this house and hired Mike to inspect the house he eventually purchased. Mike’s inspection was professional and thorough. He spent time explaining things plainly and captured it all in a comprehensive and well-organized report.
We were more than pleased with Mike’s services and confidently recommend him to family and friends.
